Interski cancel 2020/21 Season

Updated: Nov 16, 2020

This morning the Schools & Colleges and Ski Holidays Tour Operator Interski announced that they have had to make the decision to cancel their operations for the upcoming winter season.

Interski have operated in the Italian Aosta Valley for nearly 40 years. This news comes just after the area had to go back into Lockdown as it was declared a Covid-19 'Red Zone'.

I did a Season with Interski in 2014/15 as a Schools & Colleges Coordinator and absolutely loved seeing young people connect with Snowsports as well as the impact that it had on them. Particularly when one of my groups was Snow Camp. Interski is a fantastic company and a true staple in the Industry as it encourages young people to cultivate a love of Skiing from a young age that they can take with them through life. I also have a number of friends who have trained as Ski Instructors and the teaching hours that they have completed with Interski have been invaluable to their careers. The impact of the cancelled season for them is far greater than the Revenues lost and Seasonaires missing out on jobs, as some might consider it to be.

Our support goes to everyone at Interski HQ after this announcement, as well as those disappointed by the news. We are looking forward to hearing positive news about their 2021/22 Season!
