We were so sad to hear the news of the huge fire at Europe's largest Ski factory in mid-October.
The 20,000 square meter factory is located in the Ukraine and is responsible for producing hundred of thousands of Skis & Snowboards for multiple brands, including Rossignol and Scott.

Luckily no one was injured and they managed to get the blaze under control relatively quickly, however the damage is extensive. Some reports claim that pre-ordered Skis for Fischer and other customers went up in flames whereas others say that the warehouse where most of the finished product is stored was saved. It does seem to be the case that the production lines were severely damaged though.
The Austrian company and local services are investigating the fire.
